Stress Resilience – FREE Talk
Where: Revitalise Centre, 7-9 Bardolph Street, Glen Iris
When: Sunday May 5, 11:00 – 12:00pm
I have been collaborating with my fellow practitioners at the Revitalise Centre to create the “Sunday Series” which are a series of informative conversations with our experienced therapists on a range of topics.
We really wanted to offer some practical tips and strategies to help support people on this topic as so many of our clients’ really struggle with this issue.
I have previously struggled with feeling overwhelmed and burnt out and it wasn’t until I changed my approach and learned better ways of dealing with stress that I started to get my life and my health back on track.
Stress left unmanaged over time can have a real impact on your physical and emotional wellbeing and can even lead to serious chronic illness, such as adrenal fatigue and mental health problems.
In today’s world, there are countless things in our daily life that can trigger feelings of stress, overwhelm and anxiety. Juggling multiple responsibilities, finance, work, relationships, parenting…. the list goes on.
It’s important to understand these triggers so we can learn how to manage our response to them and build our stress resilience.
In the Stress Resilience talk we’ll be discussing:
- The physical impact of stress on the mind & body
- Diet & Lifestyle strategies to help you better manage stress & overwhelm.
- How your mindset impacts the way you respond to stress
- Mindfulness practices
- You are not your stress – the persona of stress and anxiety
- Breathing tools
- Talkative therapies vs. working through the body
- Simple tips to help you find calm in the chaos
